Polo Lessons and Stick and Ball
Come and join us at Island Polo Club Malta for a lesson.
Island Polo Club Malta provides polo and riding lessons year round and our season last from 1st of October until 30th of June.
There are two arena´s available; our big arena (90m x 50m) is for chukkas and tournaments and there is a smaller arena for lessons (60M X 20m). The free draining surface allows play virtually every day.
We offer polo lessons for all levels on request; beginner lessons, riding lessons, instructional chukkas and stick and ball. Chukkas are played on on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. We are more than happy to also organise beginner Chukkas for our new starters.

How to Play Polo – Most asked questions
Can I play if I am left handed? Although polo must be played using the right hand to hold the mallet, people soon adapt. This will not hold you back at all and you may even find it easier to ride, “steering the horse with your left hand”. Many of the worlds greatest polo players are left handed.
Do I need to be able to ride? Many people rapidly pick up their balance and horsemanship skills from scratch. Polo riding is very different from other riding styles so you may find it just as easy to learn from scratch as it is to learn to change riding styles.
