Tournament Weekend Day 1 – 21st May

We had an amazing time this weekend, hosting our low goal and our first novice´s tournament of the year 2022.

After 6 eventful chukkas between 3 teams we congratulate the winners of Saturday.

Over the last couple of months we had many enthusiatic new starters joining us.

We therefore held our first Novice Tournament ever! After 6 great chukkas between 3 teams we congratulate the winners of Sunday.

On April 9^th -10^th of 2022, eleven of our Island Polo Club members went to visit our great friends at the Rugby Polo Club in Willoughby, UK.

We had an exiting weekend with a polo clinic followed by instructional chukkas on Saturday. On Sunday we held the Island Polo Club & Rugby Polo Club Challenge, consisting of 8 eventful chukkas.

As always it was a pleasure to play with the guys from Rugby Polo and learn from their expertise.

Trips abroad are a great part of our club and we can´t wait for many more to come this summer.

We welcome nonmembers and visitors from abroad.  If you are new to polo, why not try some lesson and experience this amazing sport?

The club’s focus is to make polo accessible to everyone and it is a great place to learn and to play all year round. Our members range from the experienced player to complete beginners.

We have welcomed many new members and ponies over the last two years and we are more than happy to introduce you to our two new additions to our polo family Lunca and Bonita.

Both of them are former racehorses and will now be trained for polo by our club owner and trainer Steve Vassallo.

A great majority of polo horses are in fact mares, as they are said to have the right attitude and spirit.

Welcome back Polo Players! After a very hot summer break, we are happy to announce the start of the new polo season 2021/2022 at Island Polo Club.

From October on we will be playing chukkas on the weekends again. To celebrate the start of the season we have decided to host a club tournament on the 2nd of October, followed by after-polo drinks in the Montekristo Brewery.
